DESCRIPTION:Proposal: Write an svn post-commit script that does the
following:\nfor every file added or modified (including properties)\n
if the sgd:webpath property is set\n generate a thumbnail and
store as in the sgd:thumbnail property\n load file and thumbnail
to the path specified in sgdwebpath\n for every file deleted or where
sgd:webpath property has been removed\n remove file and thumbnail from
web location specified in sgd:webpath\n\nThis arrangement would allow me
to maintain a photos repository separate from the web site repository\,
but still maintain the photos on the web site itself in the directory.
The photo manipulation could be done with a free image library called
ImageMagick (http://www.imagemagick.org)\n\nIt might be preferrable to
 simply write a couple of shell scripts\n\nthumbnail <imgfile> |
<imagedir> - Generates a thumbnail of the specified file(s) and stores it
 in the sgd:thumbnail property\nwebme <imgfile> <path> - copies the
specified img file to the website along with its thumbnail.\n\nThe
problem with the original scheme is that I'm not sure you can inject
properties into an svn transaction. Using these two shell scripts would
let you do everything you needed for photos. (I think)

and 28:\n\nChapter 10\, The Quest for an Accelerated Population Count\,
by Henry S. Warren\, Jr.\, reveals the impact that some clever algorithms
can have on even a seemingly simple problem.\n\nBrad and Jason Marshall
will lead the discussion (Jason...are you out there? Will you be
available to do this?)\n\nChapter 28\, Beautiful Debugging\, by Andreas
Zeller\, shows how a disciplined approach to validating code can reduce
the time it takes to track down errors. Jason Osgood will lead the
discussion.\n\nAlso\, is anyone interested in Scala (http:
//www.scala-lang.org/)? I'm thinking of exploring it via its tutorials
and was wondering if anyone wanted to do a WingDings-lite on it?

 <FFFF__=0ABBFECFDFDE54BC8f9e8a93df938690@csc.com>":Speaker: Billy
Rios\nBad Sushi - Beating Phishers at Their Own Game\nThis talk will
expose tactics and tools used by phishers\, show how easy it is to hack
into servers that are used to perform phishing\, demonstrate how easy it
is so follow a phsisher's trail to find out how they share information on
US Citizens including SSNs\, bank account numbers\, credit card numbers\,
ATM PINs\, you name it.\nPhishers usually setup their sites on servers
they have compromised. In other words\, the phishers have already done
the hard work and it is easy to gain access to these servers. Due to the
sheer volume of sites that need to be setup to perform a successful
phish\, phishers tend to be sloppy and leave traces everywhere.\nThis
talk will expose some of the tactics and tools used by phishers. Actual
walk-through of how compromised hosts were accessed to gain information
about the phishers will be presented. This talk will also show how easy
it is to construct a trail from a compromised host to obtain information
about individuals that is spewed on hacker message boards located outside
the United States.\n\nBilly Rios lives in a phish bowl and is constantly
being sent emails from acquaintances all over the world. Billy has won
the Internet lotto several times\, is expecting large sums of abandoned
money from a long lost relative in the Congo\, and has received checks
accidentally made out for 30\,000 instead of 30 US dollars.\n\nSpeaker:
Jon McClintock\nSession management is one of the most overlooked areas of
web application security\, and yet it can also be the most challenging
feature to get right in your web application. This talk will provide a
brief overview of web session management\, followed by an exposition into
how several common web application frameworks implement session
management\, finishing with a discussion of several classes of
vulnerabilities that can arise through poor session management.\nJon
McClintock is a Senior Consultant for Leviathan Security Group\, where he
specializes in application security from design through implementation
and into deployment. Prior to Leviathan\, Jon was a Senior Software
Engineer on Amazon.com's Information Security team\, where he worked with
software teams to define security requirements\, assess application
security\, and educate developers about security software best practices.

DESCRIPTION;ALTREP="CID:
 <FFFF__=0ABBFECFDFDE54BC8f9e8a93df938690@csc.com>":Thank you for signing
up for the Heather Lake Hike on Sunday April 13th.\n \nUnfortunately\,
due to snow conditions\, we’ve had to go to a “Plan B” hike – we
will be doing Wallace Falls\, on the same day – Sunday April 13th.\n
\nYour co-leaders are Julie Julison and David Heath.\n \nWe will be
meeting at the Monroe Park & Ride at 9:00 a.m.\n17433\, Hwy 2\, Monroe\,
west of the Fairgrounds.\n \nHere are driving directions:\nFrom Seattle:
 \nTake I-90 west to I-405\,\nTake I-405 north\,\nTake Exit 23 onto SR-522
 heading east\,\nIn Monroe\, 522 will clover-leaf down onto US-2. Turn
right on US-2.\nGo through the first light at the Fairgrounds\,\nTurn in
at the Park & ride west of the Fairgrounds.\nPark in the Southwest
corner.\n\nYou should be able to spot us at the meeting point\, milling
about\, acting like a Mountaineers group\, dressed for hiking. Come on
over.\n \nIt will probably take 45 to 50 minutes to drive from Seattle to
the meeting point. Give yourself plenty of time to arrive on time. We
will wait 15 minutes at the Park & Ride\; after that\, the group will
leave for the trailhead. We will carpool from the meeting point to get
to the trail itself.\n \nOur goal is to have fun hiking this “woody”
trail. \n \nIf you choose to carpool to the Monroe Park & Ride\, the
clubhouse can facilitate locating other participants who are interested.
The carpool roster will be available starting at 1pm Friday 4/11/08\, or
by going through the clubhouse. Call (206) 284-8484 or go to the
Mountaineers website to indicate your interest as soon as possible. You
must make your own meet-up arrangements with the suggested members of the
carpool. It is Mountaineers policy that carpool riders will each pay the
driver twelve cents per mile\, round trip\; drivers are encouraged to be
fair in determining the total.\n \nThere will be an optional\,
inexpensive\, after-hike meal\, likely in the town of Sultan or Monroe.
If that appeals to you\, be sure to bring some extra cash.\n \nFinally\,
if you find that you need to cancel from the hike\, PLEASE let both
leaders know as soon as possible. Don’t be a no-call/no-show.\n \nIf
you have any questions\, we can be reached as follows:\n\nJulie:\ne-mail:

you will be joining us for hiking or camping or both in the beautiful
Wenatchee National Forest East of Mt. Rainier! You've already registered
for your hike(s). If you're hiking only please let your hike leader know
and plan to make your own carpool arrangements to get to the trailhead.
If you're camping you should have RSVP'd to Cyndy (cyndykocher@yahoo.com)
for which nights you'll be camping and whether you need any loaner gear.
You may arrive at the campground any time after 2:00 p.m. on Friday to
have your pick of beautiful tent sites. We have five adjacent sites -
 17\, 19\, 20\, 22 & 23\, all close to the American River. The campground
is on Bumping River Road\, a right turn off Hwy 410 between mile markers
88 and 89\, then left into the campground after appx. 5 miles. It's about
a 2.5 hour drive from Seattle. Carpooling is strongly encouraged\, as

LOCATION:Snow Lake Trail\, Snoqualmie Ranger District
DESCRIPTION;ALTREP="CID:
 <FFFF__=0ABBFECFDFDE54BC8f9e8a93df938690@csc.com>":Thanks for
volunteering for this work party! All our work parties have three rules:
safety first\, fun second and work third. The work can be hard so we
encourage everyone to work at his or her own pace. If you have any
questions please call our office at 206/625-1367. We want you to have a
good time and experience first hand what it takes to keep trails in good
shape. If you have questions about what we're doing during the work
party\, about trails in general or about specific trails\, please ask
your crew leaders. Let us know how you found out about the work party\,
and anything we can do to make it more fun. We want you to come
back!\n\nSpecial Notes: Mountaineers CHS class\n\nTrail Facts: This trail
is situated in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness and must be the most popular
trail in Washington\, behind only Mount Si for consistent overcrowding.
The trail climbs gradually across Source Creek Valley\, before launching
into some steep switchbacks to the ridge-top. From there\, it's all
downhill to Snow Lake. At three miles\, the High Lakes trail leads two
miles north to Gem Lake\, then another two miles to Wildcat Lakes\, which
should provide a break from the throngs.\n\nDirections: From Seattle
drive east on I-90 and take exit 52 at Snoqualmie Pass. Drive left under
I-90 following signs to the Alpental Ski Area\, and in a mile turn left
into the Alpental Ski area parking lot. Do not take the second left after
the freeway which is the old pass highway and leads downhill. The
trailhead\, elevation 3100 feet\, exits the parking lot at the north-east
corner. (Driving time from Seattle : approximately 1.0 hour.)\n\nWe want
this to be a rewarding and fun event for everyone\, so we've enclosed
some information that will help give you an idea of what you will be
 doing.\n\nAll volunteers MUST be wearing:\n# Work gloves\n# Long pants\n#
Long-sleeved shirts\n# Adequate boots for foot protection\n# A day bag to
carry your personal gear\n\nWe cannot allow anyone to work in sneakers or
shorts. You will be turned away at the trailhead if you do not have the
required work gear. This is a USFS safety requirement. All volunteers
will also be required to wear a hard-hat (provided by WTA) while working.
Please bring a lunch\, plenty of water\, and suitable rain and cold
weather gear. The work can often be wet and muddy so many of us bring a
spare change of clothes to wear home in the car.\n\nIntroduction:
Volunteers will meet with the crew leader and assistant crew leaders at
the trailhead. The crew leader will give a safety lecture and discuss
specific plans for the day. PLEASE BE ON TIME! We can not allow anyone
who has missed the safety lecture to work!\n\nSafety: THE EMPHASIS IS
ALWAYS SAFETY FIRST. Please read the attached safety handout from
Volunteers for Outdoor Washington. We want the day to be enjoyable and
SAFE. You will need to sign a personal action responsibility and WTA
liability release at the beginning of the day. Our crew leaders are
trained to ensure a safe experience for all\, but you need to be
responsible for your personal actions. We can allow you to work only
after you have heard our entire safety briefing\, signed in\, and have
the appropriate work gear. Children and minors are encouraged to attend\,
but children must be accompanied by an adult and both must have a parent
or legal guardian sign the liability release. Please call if you have any
questions.\n\nFun: WTA will provide good cheer and ensure an enjoyable
time. WE WANT EVERYONE TO COME BACK AND JOIN US FOR ANOTHER WORK PARTY!
At the end of the day we will take pride in our accomplishments as we
return to the trailhead. We will drink pop and have snacks while
preparing for the trip home. Those who volunteer two or more times per
year on Forest Service trails receive an annual Trail Park Pass. Those
who volunteer five or more times receive their own WTA hard hat.\n\nWork:
WTA will provide the tools\, hard-hats and a safety demonstration. We
head up the trail promptly after the orientation. We have mid-morning and
mid-afternoon breaks and stop for lunch around noon. VOLUNTEERS ARE URGED
THROUGH OUT THE DAY TO TAKE BREAKS WHENEVER THEY WANT. At the end of the
day we'll collect the tools\, head back down to the trailhead and have a
wrap-up of the day's work. Every effort is made to ensure that all
volunteers can depart from the trailhead by no later than 3:30
p.m.\n\nQuestions: Please call us at 206/625-1367 if you have any
questions. If you are interested in signing up for additional trips visit
 our website at www.wta.org.

DESCRIPTION;ALTREP="CID:
 <FFFF__=0ABBFECFDFDE54BC8f9e8a93df938690@csc.com>":Looking forward to
hiking with you on Saturday up to Crater Mountain. I led this hike back
in early August for ACHS when the weather was not very clear and am
hoping to get some of the much-vaunted awesome views this time.\n\nThe
weather forecast for the area is partly cloudy and in the 60s\, but be
prepared for any type of weather including heat and rain. There is water
available on the trail\, so I don't think we'll each need to carry more
than 3 quarts plus the ability to purify more. The map needed is Green
 Trails\, #49\, Mt Logan.\n\nWeather permitting\, we should have awesome
views of the North Cascades on the way up and once we reach one of the
old lookout sites. Time and interest-permitting\, we will also head up
towards an older lookout site located on the top of the mountain. We
won't go to the top on that side trip though as it is an exposed scramble
to the Crater Mountain summit. Bear encounters are also possible on this
trail\, as several reports from past years have indicated. Because of
this\, we will keep at least two people together at all times. Groups
make more noise in both movement and talking\, which alerts any bears in
the area to our presence. This is especially important since this trail
is not well-traveled.\n\nWe are meeting at the terribly early time of 5:
30 am at the Park & Ride in Lake Stevens—we have about a 2.75 hour
drive to the trailhead. Here are directions to the P&R:\n\nFrom I-5
\n--Head North on I-5 to Everett\n--Head East on Hwy 2 (towards
Wenatchee)\, get in the far left lane\n--The left lane naturally veers
off towards Lake Stevens\n--Stay on this road until it ends at the
stop-lighted intersection with Hwy 9 in Lake Stevens (you will go through
a few other stoplights along the way). Frontier Village will be right in
front of you.\n--Turn right onto Highway 9\, heading south.\n--Turn left
onto Market Pl.\, it's the next light you come to. There will be a big
sign for Target on the northeast corner.\n--The P&R will be on your left
about 1 block down the street—be aware that the sign is facing the
opposite way is hard to see. \n--We'll meet in the south section of the
P&R.\n\nFrom I-405:\n--Head north on I-405\n--Take the exit for Hwy 522
East to Monroe/Wenatchee\n--Take Hwy 9 North to Lake Stevens (about 14-15
miles from when you get on Hwy 9).\n--On the south side of Lake Stevens\,
turn right on Market Place—there is a big sign for Target at this
turn.\n--The P&R will be the first turn on your left about 1 block down
the street—be aware that the sign is facing the opposite way and can be
hard to see. \n--We'll meet in the south section of the P&R.
